CO2 IS SLINGING IT......just like Slingin' Sammy Baugh.1936 was a good year for us both. Sammy was offered $4,000 a year to play professional football for Washington. Coincidentally, almost one hundred years later, I have made almost $400 doing comedy. I like to think of it as reverse inflation. Maybe things cost less now??? Perhaps inflation has destroyed the value of the currency, but it has also inflated my ego to the point where I write a seriously delusional weekly newsletter! Here we go again...! On a side note, for the last 19 months, I have been leasing a space in Studio City for comedians to work out material. We did small mics on Wednesday and Thursday nights, and while it does not look like much, it was one of the most intimidating rooms I have done. Everyone was up on you, and they were all gifted writers and performers chasing the same dream you are chasing. We had a ton of great times, truly inspiring memories with friends running new material, working on our sets, doing podcasts, and supporting each other through a career that can, at times, feel lonelier than it should. Tonight (Wednesday) was the last night, and that chapter is closed, but the invaluable role it played in my life at a time I needed it will never be forgotten. Adios, NoHoShoHo space.

Curly Lambeau and I have a lot of things in common...well, one thing in common, actually. We both like Green Bay, although I only like it when it is warm, to be honest. We also like thick sweaters with random single letters on them, and posing in front of barns (see my travel photos from months back for more on that!)... We also coach: he coached football to adult men, and I coach little kids from the Disney Channel on how to tell jokes. They are both exciting in their own way, and give us a unique perspective. So with that, here are what I assume are our mutual thoughts...The current Packers need to take a cue from Curly and get back to what made them great all of those years...cheese. Load the other team down with unhealthy saturated fats and then run circles around them. Jim Harbaugh should have taken the Kansas Jayhawks job when he had the chance. Lots of injured quarterbacks in the league, and it's bumming me out...Baker Mayfield, Jaxson Dart, Jayden Daniels...I'm sure there's more. Where are Kurt Warner and the Arena League studs when you need them???

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns The Browns are no joke. DeShaun Watson is playing very very very relaxed...hmmmmm..... The stadium must be near a strip mall. This week, the Browns will continue their winning ways, as they take the Doans pills straight outta grumpy Aaron Rodgers pharma-free hands, and put up a serious beat down. PICK: BROWNS
