If I am ever lucky enough to get fans, these are the folks I want! Give me a not-so-superman on a bender doing discount warehouse shopping on a Tuesday afternoon. I feel like I see this daily on Hollywood Boulevard, all along the Walk of Fame. If they ever give me a star, I hope it is made of orange stars from a Lucky Charms box. My sister Kat will love that because it is as close to Irish as I will ever be, and I will love it as it will be delicious. That is how I want to be remembered. An "In Memoriam" nod on a cereal box. Seems just about right!
I stopped going to Costco when I moved to LA four years ago, but for some reason, I can't let go of the membership. I still feel like there is gold in them there hills at Costco, like it's so exclusive that if I drop my membership, they will never let me back in. It's like Soho Club, but with giant cans of walnuts and enough vitamins to actually kill me. Same amount of B-list celebrities, though. Although I'm not sure what I think is funny about that. I'm not celebrity enough to be on a list of any grade. Maybe one day, but in the meantime...I'm good having fun with my friends and newsletter and occasional shows! Hope you all are good with it too...
I did get some good advice once from my friend (and Some Stuff Weekly subscriber) Vicky Frenkel. I ran into her once at the Trader Joe's in KC and she turned me on to the pot stickers. Those are legit good! That's how I keep my less-than-marvelous physique going 😄😄😄... Also legit good is her design studio if you ever need some awesome graphics done! She is the best! Always love getting to shout out friends doing really cool things, and she is one of the most supportive folks I know. Truly like family!
