This is loosely tied into the theme, but Big Fish is one of my favorite movies, and the visuals from Tim Burton (including tons of gorgeous shots of flowers) will blow you away if you have not seen this.
The movie tells the story of Edward Bloom (Albert Finney) who has lived a large life, at least in his head and tells the stories of his life to his disgruntled son Will, who resents his father for never actually being present in his life. The movie perfectly captures my favorite of all emotions--bittersweet--and does not shy away from the sweet, sad moments that make up so much of life.
There is a beautiful scene where Edward fills a garden full of daffodils so he can propose to a woman he just met but loves.
"You don't even know me", she says. He replies--
"I have the rest of my life to find out".
