Enough of you were drunk while reading last week's newsletter to actually go to Spotify and listen to the College Rock Playlist. I wanted to apologize to each of you personally, but then I thought--"Wait! I love way more bad songs than just those!" So for the next few weeks, I will continue to share the soundtrack that no one wanted...As with all things in my life, these songs are mid-tempo and impossible to dance to. That is the exact lane America prefers me in--a lane where old man dance moves are punished harshly.
Growing up in the Midwest, we had plenty of country songs to choose from. Much to my sisters' dismay, there is not a Garth Brooks or Tim McGraw tune on the list (although Indian Outlaw was very narrowly rejected--sorry, Bridget!). It is all folk and bluegrass and people who mercifully sound nothing like my musical archenemies, The Eagles!
