ONE MORE WEEK!!!

I am very excited for the holidays, as I am every year! I will be back in KC with my family, and I could not be more thrilled! KC at Christmas is a truly magical place, and is all lit up in lights, and my mom really goes out of her way to make it special every year.

I hope each and every one of you has an amazing holiday season as well, and for many of my friends, they have already started, so I hope they are going great!

Thanks to everyone who came out to my shows over the last couple of weeks. Hope I didn't bomb too badly for you. I will have 2026 shows coming up soon.

NoCal/Bay Area Friends--I am getting the lineup pulled together and working on solidifying the date. More very soon...

Here is some stuff I like and hope you like too...

AS ALWAYS, REPLY TO THIS EMAIL WITH YOUR THOUGHTS AND COMMENTS AND STUFF YOU WANT TO SEE! I FEEDBACK IS ALWAYS APPRECIATED!

NFL WEEK 16

My football dreams are over until 2027. Mahomes' injury makes my knee hurt. I'd love to believe in Minshew Mania, or maybe we can get 89-year-old Joe Flacco to come to KC for a year, but I don't hold out much hope for next season. But then again, if you have been reading my weekly predictions, you already know I am almost always wrong. With that said...

Let's get to the picks!

  • THU | RAMS @ SEAHAWKS | PICK: RAMS

    • This is the Rams time to shine. Sam Darnold becomes Alex Smith, a guy everyone loves right up until the big games. Btw...Seattle is not nearly as loud as Arrowhead. My sister Kat and I were at the game when we became the loudest stadium on earth. One of my favorite nights ever!

  • SAT | EAGLES @ COMMANDERS | PICK: COMMANDERS

    • Mariota is in! The Great Hawaiian Hope lights a tiki torch all over the Eagles, and celebrates with a Spam Musubi. Hey, how about a nice Hawaiian Punch, Philly?

  • SAT | PACKERS @ BEARS | PICK: PACKERS

    • I refuse to believe in the Bears...or in anything Chicago for that matter. Chicago is NOT my kind of town Frank Sinatra, and my years spent living/working there have convinced me there is no sweater on earth to make that city livable. Go Pack!

  • SUN | CHARGERS @ COWBOYS | PICK: CHARGERS

    • I can feel the pain searing through my body as I type the words... Go Chargers! I can't believe I am saying it. I am nauseous and sweating. But without the Chiefs around, the Chargers are due. Gotta love me some Herbert!

  • SUN | BENGALS @ DOLPHINS | PICK: BENGALS

    • Toey Joey makes up for last week's stinker by pasting it on the Dolphins. The Dolphins should let them save the airfare and just give them the game now.

  • SUN | BUCS @ PANTHERS | PICK: BUCS

    • What is happening to Baker and the boys??? This one is a must! The winner gets the division. Any time Charlotte-based Bank of America hits me with an ATM fee, I hate the Panthers more. Come on Bucs!

  • SUN | JETS @ SAINTS | PICK: SAINTS

    • Approximately one half of one percent of the country will get this game on TV, and fewer will care. Picking the Aints... I guess. I have no reason to. Just...whatever.

  • SUN | VIKINGS @ GIANTS | PICK: VIKINGS

    • Jaxson channels Austin, the cocky blonde guy from Not Another Teen Movie, and tries to make out with Cindy from the Debate Club just before halftime. Giants are distracted. Vikings win.

  • SUN | BILLS @ BROWNS | PICK: BILLS

    • I want to root for the Bills. I saw their Hallmark movie this year. It was no Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, but it was okay I guess. I just can't make myself be happy for them. I've been to Buffalo. Shouldn't have done it. I know why people took the barrel over Niagara Falls. It was to get out of Buffalo. But they still win this one.

  • SUN | CHIEFS @ TITANS | PICK: CHIEFS

    • Of course the Chiefs win this game. It doesn't matter at all. This game is only here to have us draft lower in the spring. My heart is broken...💔💔💔

  • SUN | JAGUARS @ BRONCOS | PICK: JAGUARS

    • Please Jaguars. I can handle rooting for the Chargers. But the Broncos?!?! A fate worse than death. Never. Elway ruined my childhood. And now Nix is trying to ruin my adulthood?!?! Do your part, Jaguars. Just win one!

  • SUN | FALCONS @ CARDINALS | PICK: FALCONS

    • Kirk Cousins performs another miracle--he multiplies the loaves of bread and fish into 5000, but then realizes he is at a Red Lobster and they had it all in stock. Even so, he is playing divinely. Falcons win.

  • SUN | RAIDERS @ TEXANS | PICK: RAIDERS

    • Why do I keep picking the Raiders? Maybe it's because I love Maxx Crosby. Maybe it's because Tom Brady is so handsome. Maybe it's because I love Pete Carroll's happy cry. I'm not sure. But here we go again...

  • SUN | STEELERS @ LIONS | PICK: LIONS

    • Savvy rookie Dutch Clark, part of the 1931 class of youngsters playing for the Lions, takes on veteran gunslinger Aaron Rodgers. Clark implants the first short-wave radio into his helmet (see below) to communicate with his coaches and the brave servicemen in our armed forces, and it is enough to lead the Portsmouth Spartans. Detroit Lions to victory.

  • SUN | PATRIOTS @ RAVENS | PICK: RAVENS

    • Lamar, listen to me...you have to do this on your own. Please do NOT throw the ball to Mark Andrews. he is a Butterfingers McGee. No one can tackle you when you take off. That is the game plan. Lamar right. Lamar left. Ravens win!

  • SUN | 49ERS @ COLTS | PICK: 49ERS

    • Phillip Rivers gets an extra day of rest to go along with his almost five years of rest, but it makes no difference. 49ers could win this game with Mac Jones' cousin playing.

THE SHOW I AM WATCHING

THE BISHOP'S WIFE

I know, I know--another Cary Grant movie??? Yes! Because this is the greatest Christmas movie ever made. Cary Grant stars as an angel who falls in love with a woman whose marriage he is trying to save. It is heartbreaking and romantic, and ultimately bittersweet. Loretta Young is touching as the wife, David Niven, who is always brilliant, is her husband, The Bishop, and there is a hilarious turn by underrated character actor James Gleason as the cab driver Sylvester. Watching this movie makes my life wonderful.

THING I'M REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO...

The Plaza in Kansas City

Nothing beats the Plaza at Christmas. No, not the one in New York. The Kansas City Country Club Plaza. It opened in 1923 as the first outdoor shopping center in the country, with architecture modeled after the buildings in Seville, Spain. The tradition of the Plaza Christmas lighting began in 1925, making it one of the oldest such ceremonies in the country. More than that, it is just the feeling of walking through the shops on a cold, often snowy night with a hot chocolate, buying gifts for family and friends, and just feeling like it is Christmas that makes it so special. That is one thing that the Midwest does better than anywhere else, and it is something I truly miss about Kansas City. Very excited to be heading home for a week!

COMEDIAN TO KNOW: MIKE MURATORE

This one comes with a strong parental warning--you are not known as the Serial Killer of Comedy for nothing. An absolutely hilarious, rapid-fire, take-no-prisoners comic, I always think of Mike as if Don Rickles had a blue streak. Do not watch if you are easily offended, but if you are ok with some adult content, Mike is a great guy and a ridiculously talented
