NFL WEEK 13

And we are back, baby! Plucking the season from the clutches of the Kelce Podcast Empire, the Chiefs are back in fine form...but not in the playoffs yet. Maybe this week? That would be a lot to be thankful for...

Let's get to the picks!

  • THU MORNING | PACKERS @ LIONS | PICK: LIONS

    • God bless your resting bones, John Madden. Thanksgiving will never be the same without you. But it will be different with a Lions victory! Haven't been a lot of those through the years.

  • THU AFTERNOON | CHIEFS @ COWBOYS | PICK: CHIEFS

    • I don't know which I find more fascinating--the Hunt family cornering the silver market in the late 70s, or the (adjacent) Hunt family moving the Dallas Texans to Kansas City to become the Chiefs. Either way, Dallas loses.Yay! Go Chiefs!

  • THU NIGHT | BENGALS @ RAVENS | PICK: RAVENS

    • The fait accompli has been done. Joe Burrow and his Batmobile-loving ways are back for the Bengals. I predict by 2027 Joe Flacco will have played both for and against every team in the NFL...just not for the Bengals any longer.

  • FRI AFTERNOON | BEARS @ EAGLES | PICK: BEARS

    • The Eagles are from Philly, making them the least educated squad in the NFL. They erroneously believe the holiday is Friday, thus making Thursday just another horse-punching free-for-all all. Bears win by forfeit.

  • SUN | SAINTS @ DOLPHINS | PICK: SAINTS

    • The ghost of Mike McDaniel is rattling around like the spooky sounds of jazz and voodoo coming out of a New Orleans cemetery. Saints win.

  • SUN | TEXANS @ COLTS | PICK: TEXANS

    • The Colts are like the Indy 500--they started off really fast but now we all know they are just going in a circle. Texans provide the pit stop this weekend.

  • SUN | BILLS @ STEELERS | PICK: STEELERS

    • Younger, spryer Frank Sinkwich IV, another in a long line of Croatian football stars, takes over for ailing veteran QB Aaron Rodgers. Although Sinkwich suffered from flat feet that deprived him of USMC service, they were good enough to scamper 3 yards in a cloud of dust to score the only points of the game. Steelers win 6-0.

  • SUN | FALCONS @ JETS | PICK: FALCONS

    • Kirk Cousins puts down the buttermilk long enough to teach some Sunday schooling to the big city heathens, the New York Jets. Falcons win.

  • SUN | 49ERS @ BROWNS | PICK: 49ERS

    • Shedeur Sanders is the greatest quarterback ever to play the game of football. He reminds me of a young Ryan Leaf...I mean Johnny Manzeil,..I mean JaMarcus Russell... the list is long of woulda coulda shoulda misses.

  • SUN | RAMS @ PANTHERS | PICK: PANTHERS

    • The Rams are in postseason fighting shape. That's why they do the most Rams thing ever and lose this game inexplicably. No one knows why or how-- not even the Panthers who actively try to lose.

  • SUN | JAGUARS @ TITANS | PICK: JAGUARS

    • Jacksonville isn't supposed to be good at anything! That goes against the natural order of things... If Florida can correctly be called America's armpit, this is the armpit's armpit. What is happening in this crazy, Old Spice-y world?!?! Jags sadly win.

  • SUN | CARDINALS @ BUCS | PICK: BUCS

    • Bridgewater vs Brissett is the matchup...only Progressive is enjoying. Back up on back up just makes me sad. How much did I pay for Sunday Ticket again???

  • SUN | VIKINGS @ SEAHWAKS | PICK: VIKINGS

    • The Darnold Bowl. Sam dazzles, but only for the Vikings as he throws 4 INTs. And no, I am not just saying this because of my shows there next week! It is my genuine and heartfelt message to all ticket buyers. Skol, Vikings!

  • SUN | RAIDERS @ CHARGERS | PICK: RAIDERS

    • Jim Harbaugh is discovered to have violated 1,039 additional NCAA rules and is never allowed to even say the word "university" prior to his death. Raiders show up for this one.

  • SUN NIGHT | BRONCOS @ COMMANDERS | PICK: COMMANDERS

    • I have to assume that in any battle fought between horses and naval vessels, the ships should always win. Please let that be the case tonight!

  • MON NIGHT | GIANTS @ PATRIOTS | PICK: GIANTS

    • Jaxson Dart does not want anyone to Stand By Him, especially Kiefer Sutherland, the most evil menace who ever bullied around the railroad tracks in the 1950s. Giants emerge victorious.

THE SHOW I AM WATCHING

My Man Godfrey

Maybe the best part of this movie is also the saddest...Carole Lombard was killed in an airplane crash after selling war bonds only 6 years after this film was made. She dazzles as a ditzy but sweet socialite Irene Bullock, who recruits William Powell's "forgotten man" to win a scavenger hunt. The movie itself is fairly formulaic and wraps up in a forced ending, but just watching Lombard steal scene after scene is truly endless fun. In real life, she is buried next to husband Clark Gable at Forest Lawn in Glendale, a place I walk through often. One day I'd love to leave her a note that just says, "Ya ya ya ya." If you watch the movie, you will get it.

THING I BOUGHT

Stitch Fit

Again, I never make any money by telling you things I buy, nor do I care if you even think about them again in your life. I am literally just telling you about dumb things I bought.

I am trying to love Stitch Fit. I used to be in a drop-ship clothing group called Five Four Club, but because of my unrelenting laziness to go to the post office to return unwanted items, I eventually quit. I foresee the same fate here, but I have to say--so far they are batting around .500 on things I like. Am I truly incapable of going to s store and just picking up some things I like on occasion? The Magic 8 Ball says, "All signs point to yes."

CLIP OF THE WEEK

I'm not a very political comic...unless I am talking about politics. Then I am. This one is just goofy funny. And it was more topical back in the day.I promise I have new videos coming up shortly. December is a packed month of shows, and I have some great new material I will be sharing soon, so hang in there with me. In the meantime, enjoy this ol' chestnut!

As always, you can check out my clips on the site (co2isfunny.com) or YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@co2isfunny).

COMEDIAN TO KNOW: JESS WINTHER

This one is special to me... Not only is Jess my favorite comedian in America, but she is also the foxiest. That's not being sexist. She allows me to be her boyfriend on occasion, and I am always grateful. Her unflinching honesty and willingness to bare her soul unapologetically make her the most exciting comic voice I know. She will never tell you something that isn't 1000% true and hilarious in equal parts. Check out a recent set she did at Flappers in Burbank to see what I mean.

FORWARD TO A FRIEND, ETC

Please do me a favor and forward to a. friend. You get no prize other than my undying gratitude (and maybe a free ticket to a show whn I am in your area if you let me know!).

I am very grateful to each and every one of you for your support and follows and likes, etc. You all are the best!

See you next week!
