Back to School pulse check! 🫀

Greetings, Friend!

Happy September to all of you lovelies! I hope you and your families are adjusting well to the new school routine and feeling ready for the autumn season. I always get a little sad when summer comes to a close and I'll be gathering up the last few crumbs of the season over the long weekend in the Black Hills.

As your schedule fills up with sports and school functions, don't forget to make space in the calendar for you. I know for me, when my body and mind feel good, I feel more like myself. I have more energy to show up for the people I love, be present in my everyday life, and pour into this work that means so much to me.

👶 Dr. Jessica Daale will be at Baby Lounge at 9am on September 23:

There have been many new faces at Baby Lounge! I love that we can build connection and support mommas at Selah Space. Sarah Vaca with Vaca Leche and I continue to build this group in all of the best ways.

No Baby Lounge on September 9th, but come gather with Dr. Jessica Daale, owner of Rerooted Wellness, on September 23. Her services focus on the nervous system, and she is looking forward to sharing more about her practice in a few weeks. This community is a gift. Thank you for walking on this journey with me. My business baby will be 5️⃣ years old in October! Should we celebrate? I think so. I mean, the 5th chapter is one to stick a permanent bookmark in.

See you next month,

🩷 Marysa

P.S. I'm launching something!

Okay, so… I’ve been working on something that I’m really freaking excited about. I kept thinking about this weird gap between being in a physical therapy appointment and trying to figure your body out on your own. I kept finding myself wishing there was something in between.

A place where we could talk about the pelvic floor, the nervous system, pain, hormones, emotions, all of it… without everything needing to be turned into a diagnosis or another thing to “fix.” Somewhere we can learn some anatomy, have real conversations, move, breathe, explore the emotional and energetic side of being in a body, ask the awkward questions, and just… exhale a little. All with the guidance of a trusted provider in your pocket, but without the price tag of ongoing one-on-one care.

So I made one. The Root Trust Practice Room is a monthly virtual gathering for exactly that. It’s part education, part embodied practice, part conversation, part community and hopefully a place where you can start feeling a little more at home in your body. 🤍

The waitlist is currently open! Click the link below to learn more and get added 😊

How are you?

We're always asking others: How is your partner? How are your kids? How's work? How was your summer?

But when was the last time you stopped and asked yourself: How am I? How is my mind? How is my body? Life gets busy. It can feel full. And, somewhere in the middle, we can forget to check in with ourselves.

We are powerful beings. Our bodies carry us through so many seasons, changes, challenges, and experiences. We deserve to feel good in them. We deserve to care for ourselves, to love and be loved, and to take up space in our own lives, too.

Our bodies are pretty good at telling you what they need, so this is your little reminder to listen. When life asks a lot of us, a little more self tlc might just be the golden ticket you need. The gals at Uprise hope you are writing your story in all of the best ways. A story where you feel strong in your body, supported in the hard seasons, and celebrated in the beautiful ones.

Perhaps the chapter you're currently in is: growing your family, finding yourself again postpartum, navigating fertility, learning to live without pain, getting stronger, or simply making more room for you. Whatever season you are in, remember that you don't have to rush through it or have it all figured out today.

Keep listening to your body. Keep choosing the things that make you feel more like yourself. Keep surrounding yourself with people who remind you just how capable you are, and protect your light from the ones who try to blow out your candle.

We're here for you. Don't forget, it's never too late. Truly, we have seen it all.

Get me on the schedule!

💡Did you know?

*That feeling when you don't have to think about where the bathroom is. Or, how long you'll be able to sit without needing to move. Or, wondering if you're doing something wrong that's making the pain worse.

The decrease is in the mental load. That's where the magic is at and the transformation happens. That's the kind of rich that pelvic floor therapy can give you.
