Salt air...and pelvic care 🎵

Greetings, friend!

Happy weekend to you. My family and I have a full August ahead, and we're soaking up every last bit of summer before school routines return. Speaking of routines...have you ever thought about making your health part of the back-to-school season, too?

As your little ones head off for their first day of school, maybe it's the perfect time for you to start (or return to!) pelvic floor therapy. While they're settling into a new routine, you can begin one that helps you feel stronger and more like yourself 😊

I need your thoughts here...

When I opened the doors to Uprise Pelvic Health, I only knew a handful of people in this community. I was the new kid on the block. Since then, it's been such a beautiful journey of walking alongside women through pregnancy, postpartum, healing, and all of life's chapters.

As I've reflected on my own story, including the challenges of infertility, I've realized just how many women carry this journey quietly. It can feel lonely, overwhelming, and incredibly heavy. No one should have to walk through it alone.

So, I have an idea...

Would anyone be interested in a monthly Infertility Yoga + Support Circle?

My vision is to create a welcoming space where women can connect with others who truly understand, share encouragement, and simply be together. Think of this as a gentle, restorative yoga class led by the wonderful Nevada, a chance to breathe, move, and care for your body during this season. Maybe it's just what you need right now.

If this is something you'd be interested in, or if you know someone who might be, I would truly love to hear from you. Just hit reply and let me know! No need to share more than you want, a simple "yes I'm interested" is all I need. Your feedback will help shape something that I believe could be really special for our community.

🤰🏼Prenatal Yoga Series in September:

The current monthly series is full, but we do have ONE drop-in spot available on August 11 and August 18. Also, watch our socials for details on additional class times this fall! 👶 Nadene Fishback + Jenni Winslow will be at Baby Lounge at 9am on August 26:

We're excited to welcome Fun + Friends on August 26! It all started in early 2023, when these two mommas were looking to meet more families who had a young child with Down syndrome, just like themselves. Over the last few years, this non-profit has blossomed into a space for all ages and abilities. Please come and learn what this incredible non-profit is doing for our community! Sign up for email reminders to stay in the loop here.

Has This Ever Happened to You?

A little story, that perhaps, you might relate to:

Last weekend, you finally got everyone out the door for the neighborhood pool.

Because, yowza, Mother Nature turned up the heat.

Snacks packed? ✔️ Towels? ✔️ Sunscreen? ✔️ Water bottles? ✔️

Finally, a cold bevvy in hand and some Nerds Gummy Clusters. Pure Bliss. Then your oldest yelled, "Mom! Watch this!"

You jumped up to run over, and before you knew it, you laughed at something they said...

For a split second, your only thought was, "Did I just pee my pants?"

You subtly checked your shorts, tied your shirt around your waist just in case, and spent the rest of the afternoon thinking about something no one else even knew had happened.

You brushed it off. "I mean...I did have three kids, this is just part of being a mom." But, in your heart, you don't want to think about whether you're going to leak today. It really does get in the way of having fun!

Here's the thing: your body is trying to tell you something. Leaking is common, but it's not normal, and you don't have to simply put up with it. Your pelvic floor should support your movement, not hold you back.

Pelvic floor physical therapy helps uncover why it's happening so you can get back to living without constantly thinking about the nearest bathroom or packing an extra pair of shorts.

Don't forget, it's never too late. Truly, we have seen it all.

Get me on the schedule!

💡Did you know?

Pain in your hips, back, abdomen, or even your neck can sometimes be connected to your pelvic floor. That's why we take a whole-body, holistic approach and offer specialized treatments like dry needling, visceral manipulation, manual therapy, and personalized exercise as part of your sessions.

No two bodies are the same, which means no two treatment plans are either.
