New location, non-profit love, and holiday tips!

Happy Thanksgiving, friends!

I sure hope you are settling into the season, loving the ones close to you, and enjoying some yummy food + drink! When sharing what I'm grateful for this year, you all top the list! Your decision to work with us this year means so much 💗

During our staff meeting on Tuesday, I was reminded why I started this practice in Sioux Falls. Gina and Lori’s passion for truly helping men and women through intentional, 1:1 pelvic floor care – it mirrors my own. The relationships we build with our patients mean so much; I love hearing about your new job or how your kids’ soccer season is going. We’re doing meaningful work in this community, and I’m so grateful you trust us with these sensitive parts of your health. Just last week, Tressa noticed a patient walk in with her head held a little higher -- feeling better, in less pain than before. Moments like that are everything.

If you’re experiencing pelvic pain, leakage, back pain, or are navigating birth recovery, we’re here to support you. Relief is possible! Imagine how your life could feel with those symptoms eased.

And you guys, my practice is expanding to a cute, little town not too far away from here...

🎉 HELLO ROCK RAPIDS, IOWA!!

Tell your northwest Iowa friends that I will now be seeing patients in Rock Rapids every other Friday starting next week! I will be sharing an office space with Rerooted Wellness and it couldn't be a better fit! Yay for growth! Appointments are now available, but availability is already limited, so what are you waiting for?

❤️ Circles of Care at Selah Space

Selah Space has expanded into a new nonprofit called Circles of Care by Selah Space. The idea is this: scholarship funding for women who need excellent multi-disciplinary care. We know that healing doesn't happen in isolation. You or someone you love may need pelvic PT, lactation support, assistance with postpartum meals, and functional medicine. It adds up quickly so women often have to choose just one piece of the puzzle. It limits healing and growth and leaves everyone feeling frustrated.

We are wrapping up our first big fundraiser, Nominate Her, this week! You can nominate a woman who needs this type of support with a donation of $50 (or you can just donate 🙏). We've met our first goal already which will help fund 3 women's healing, yay Sioux Falls! Learn more here + it's really easy to donate online. Nominate Her today!

🎄Book Before The End of the Year

Remember, we accept HSA + FSA payments for your appointments. It’s a great way to use your benefits before the year ends, and schedules fill up quickly this time of year so be sure to book soon!

🎁 20% Off Gift Cards

I know you know someone that needs pelvic floor PT or a massage! Is that someone you? 😂 Uprise gift cards can be used for both services! Click here to purchase! Use code HOLIDAY at checkout. Hurry, this sale ends November 30th!

👶 Childcare Support at Uprise

We know it can be tricky to make time for yourself when you’re caring for little ones. That’s why we offer babysitting with Lily on Wednesdays. We want you to be able to attend your appointments without the stress of childcare! Tressa is also available M, T, Th afternoons, and F to hold babies or play Magnatiles with your littles. Make sure you scroll down to the bottom for a last minute free birth prep guide I created just for you, momma!

This season brings a quiet reminder of the beauty in feeling, moving, and connecting. I’m so grateful our journeys cross. See you next month!

With festive cheer,

❤️ Marysa

🎄What To Remember During The Holidays

✨Stay hydrated [we know you love those festive drinks]
Between trips to that fun, local coffee shop, cocktails, and traveling, water often gets forgotten — but your pelvic floor loves hydration. It keeps tissues happy and bowels moving. Perhaps drink a big glass of water, then a fun drink, and water again!

✨Don’t ignore the bathroom
Holiday shopping, long car rides, family gatherings… it’s easy to “hold it.” Try not to. It stresses the bladder and the pelvic floor.

Add gentle movement
Take a little walk with your family after the meal, a few stretches before bed, or a slow morning routine helps digestion, reduces tension, and supports pelvic floor function.

Breathe deeply [yes, it matters]
The holidays can feel busy. A few long, slow belly breaths relax the pelvic floor and calm the nervous system. Honestly, just take 5 minutes for yourself downstairs for a sec, you may need to step away from some craziness anyways!

Support your core when lifting heavy things
We know you're carrying Target bags, gifts, or a wiggly toddler: exhale with effort.

Bowel habits matter
Holiday foods can make things… slow or unpredictable.
A few tips:
– Don’t hurry in the bathroom
– Use a stool for your feet [hello foldable squatty potty!]
– Remember to eat fiber – add some chia seeds and berries to your morning yogurt

Make rest a priority
A tired nervous system = a tight pelvic floor. I mean, it's a holiday break, naps are necessary!
You’re allowed to pause, say no, and take time for yourself.

Keep your appointments
Consistency helps everything feel better — especially during a season where our routines can get disrupted.

Just an FYI, we will be closed December 24-26 so we can all enjoy some time off with our families.

Did you know?

Singing, laughing, and humming relax the pelvic floor. So, get out the charades, turn on the holiday music, + hum along while you bake your fave meal!

We are going to live our best lives, love our bodies, trust when something doesn't feel right and take care of ourselves for years to come!
