Keep your gut healthy through the season, food drive, and massage therapy!

Hello friends!

First, I want to say thank you for reading these newsletters. They've been arriving in your inbox for nearly two years, now! We know you get lots of emails; grateful you opened this one today. We love being able to connect with our community + to remind you that you are part of a village of providers who truly care about your health.

We’re growing right alongside each other + I love that.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what we do here at Uprise, and it really comes down to this: helping women build confidence through strength and resilience so they can truly feel at home in their bodies again. Our mission is to make pelvic healthcare that’s rooted in evidence, excellence, and compassion accessible to more people and to continue improving the way our community is cared for 💗

🥫 LET'S GIVE BACK

Some members of our community are hurting. We’re collecting non-perishable food items and cans of baby formula to support local families in need. Formula will go to The Teddy Bear Den and food will be donated to one of our local food banks.
Bring a donation to your physical therapy appointment between November 1–10 and you’ll receive $10 off your session as a thank-you for giving back.

✅ Canned goods
✅ Baby formula
✅ Peanut butter, rice, pasta, cereal, applesauce packets

Because caring for our neighbors is part of caring for ourselves.

🎄Book Before the Holidays

Remember, we accept HSA + FSA payments for your appointments. It’s a great way to use your benefits before the year ends, and schedules fill up quickly this time of year so be sure to book soon!

🎁 Because Self-Care Beats Stuff

👶 Childcare Support at Uprise

We know it can be tricky to make time for yourself when you’re caring for little ones. That’s why we offer babysitting on Wednesdays. We want you to be able to attend your appointments without the stress of childcare! Make sure you scroll down to the bottom for a last minute free birth prep guide I created just for you, momma!

This time of year always reminds me how wonderful it is to simply be alive -- to move, to feel, to connect. I’m endlessly grateful for the chance to share that journey with you. See you next month!

With warmth,

❤️ Marysa

💩 Digestion + Your Pelvic Floor

How important is it to keep your digestion moving + comfortable as we enter the holiday season? The answer: Very. Your pelvic floor plays a bigger role than you might expect.

So, why does this matter?

Your pelvic floor doesn’t just support your bladder and reproductive organs, it also plays a big role in digestion + bowel health. Those muscles help coordinate how waste moves through your colon and how we “let go” physically. When the pelvic floor is tense or uncoordinated, it can make digestion sluggish or regularity uncomfortable [think bloating, constipation, or that “holding” feeling].

The diaphragm + pelvic floor move in sync together with every breath. When we’re stressed, rushing, or sitting for long periods, that natural movement can get restricted, which slows digestion. The result? A body that feels tight, backed up, + disconnected.

Small shifts that make a big difference:

✨ BREATHE LOW AND SLOW. Notice where your breath goes. It should expand through your ribs and belly, not your neck + shoulders. Gentle diaphragmatic breathing helps your core soften and signals to your body that it’s safe to rest + digest.

✨ MOVE OFTEN. Take a short walk over your lunch break today, twist gently, or stretch after meals to keep things flowing.

✨ TRY GENTLE ABDOMINAL WORK. Techniques like Maya Abdominal Therapy [offered by Heather!] and visceral manipulation [offered by our PTs] can improve circulation + reduce tension in the belly + pelvis.

✨ GET IN TO SEE US, SILLY!

Remember, we need to feel in harmony with our bodies.

At Uprise Pelvic Health, we believe:

  • Healing should address the whole person - body, mind, + lifestyle.

  • Real change comes from looking beneath the surface, not chasing quick fixes.

  • Education, connection, and prevention are just as important as treatment.

If you’re ready to move beyond surface-level solutions + lean into lasting, root-cause healing - you’re in the right place.
