Happy National PT Month, Upcoming Events and Pricing Update

Hello friends!

October is here! It's National Physical Therapy Month and yesterday was our official 4 year business anniversary. Lots of good energy this week as the season invites us to shift into new rhythms (and hopefully some cooler weather 🥵). Even before the temperatures drop, there’s a natural pull to cozy routines, slower mornings, and moments of grounding. As the season gradually turns chillier, we’re called to go inward more than outward: to reflect, to restore, and to care for ourselves in intentional ways.

🎉 What a Celebration!

This past Saturday, we celebrated our 4th birthday with a party! We soaked up the morning sun and cool breeze during a Barre3 class, connected over conversations about women’s health and wellness, nibbled some sweet treats and wrapped it up with fun prize drawings. Thank you to everyone who came - it was the perfect way to honor how far we’ve come together!

🥗 The Nourish Collective

In this season of nourishment, I’m reminded of friends who model that beautifully. Sandrine Pilaz is a community builder, hospital chaplain, health coach, + French chef [she even made delicious meals for my family when baby Gus was born last summer!] Her heart for caring through food reminds me that wellness isn’t only about PT appointments or exercises, it’s also about the small, daily ways we listen to + honor our bodies. 👶 Childcare Support at Uprise

We know it can be tricky to make time for yourself when you’re caring for little ones. That’s why we offer babysitting on Tuesdays from 4–6 pm. We want you to be able to attend your appointments without the stress of childcare! Make sure you scroll down to the bottom for a last minute free birth prep guide I created just for you, momma!

✨ Thoughtful + Supported Healing

Just like a seasonal meal prepared with intention, your health journey is best supported when it’s thoughtful, balanced, and rooted in what your body truly needs.

This month, I invite you to:
🍂 Choose nourishment that feels grounding - whether that’s a warm cup of soup, a few minutes of stretching, or rest.
🍂 Notice your body’s rhythms as the season shifts, and honor what it’s asking for.
🍂 Lean into routines that give you steadiness and comfort.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey. May October bring you deeper connection, gentle nourishment, and moments of true restoration.

With warmth,

❤️ Marysa

Pelvic Floor Therapy: Who it's for and who it's not for!

It's physical therapy month so let's clear the air about who we can help. It's more people than you think!

âś… Who We See at Uprise Pelvic Health

Women

  • Pregnancy + postpartum: birth prep, C-section recovery, diastasis recti, scar tissue, leakage, prolapse, painful intercourse, tailbone pain, bowel changes

  • Perimenopause + menopause: hormonal changes, bladder/bowel changes, pelvic heaviness, + hip pain

  • Core, back, or hip issues that are often connected to pelvic floor dysfunction

  • Wellness + prevention: returning safely to exercise including running, long-term pelvic health, or simply wanting to better understand your body

Men [Yep, men have pelvic floors, too!]

  • Urinary leakage: especially after prostate surgery, or dribbling after going pee

  • Urgency or frequency concerns

  • Abdominal pain

  • Pelvic pain, scrotal pain, tailbone pain

  • Bowel concerns: constipation, straining

  • Core or low back pain related to pelvic floor dysfunction

  • Sexual health concerns: erectile dysfunction, pain with intimacy

❌ Who's Not Right for care at Uprise

  • Patients looking for a “quick fix.” Healing is a journey and lasting change requires active participation and a willingness to address the root cause, not just mask symptoms.

  • Patients wanting only surface-level care. Pelvic PT at Uprise isn’t about temporary relief; it’s about uncovering the deeper reasons behind your symptoms and working together to restore lasting function. That means we get to know you and you get to know us! It's the best part of our jobs.

  • Patients not ready to engage in their care. Pelvic floor therapy is most effective when you’re curious, open, and committed to practicing strategies outside of appointments.

✨ Our Philosophy at Uprise Pelvic Health

Pelvic health is more than kegels and exercises. While movement and strengthening are part of what we do, our approach goes deeper. We want to understand the why behind your symptoms, help you reconnect with your body, + empower you with tools that last far beyond our clinic.

We believe:

  • Healing should address the whole person - body, mind, + lifestyle.

  • Real change comes from looking beneath the surface, not chasing quick fixes.

  • Education, connection, and prevention are just as important as treatment.

If you’re ready to move beyond surface-level solutions and lean into lasting, root-cause healing - you’re in the right place.
