Inside a Treatment at Uprise Pelvic Health
πΈ Pelvic Floor Therapy Post Cesarean πΈ
Even if you didn't have a vaginal birth your pelvic floor still went through major changes during pregnancy + surgery! It's so important to continue to care for your pelvis + it's often overlooked, shockingly.
Let's bring awareness to this.
Pregnancy puts that extra pressure on the pelvic floor as you support that little babe inside of you ββ stretching + shifting with your changing body. Add in a c-section surgery + you have a new set of challenges. Scar tissue across multiple layers of muscle + fascia, changes to the abdominal coordination, or maybe sensitivity around your incision.
It matters to care for your pelvic floor however your little one came into the world.
Scar Tissue Mobilization:
Gentle, targeted therapy to soften the C-section scar, improve tissue mobility, and reduce sensitivity or tightness.
Core and Pelvic Floor Reconnection:
Helping you find and rebuild deep core strength (itβs not about crunches or kegels!) and pelvic floor support without overloading healing tissues.
Pain Reduction:
Easing pain around the incision, pelvis, low back, or hips.
Posture and Movement Rehab:
Pregnancy and surgery change how you stand, move, and breathe β therapy helps realign and restore fluid movement.
Bladder and Bowel Support:
Even with a C-section, many people experience urinary leakage, urgency, or constipation that pelvic floor PT can address.
Emotional Healing and Body Connection:
Birth (especially surgical birth) can feel overwhelming. Pelvic floor therapy offers a space to reconnect with your body in a safe, empowering way.
Many are told to just βlive with it.β We are a safe space to discuss and address all of the concerns you may be uncomfortable sharing. We promise you will be taken seriously and nothing is βTMI."
