Why did you start North Dallas Renovations? Two reasons, really. I was traveling internationally and wanted to be home with my family, and I felt like I could be a different kind of general contractor.
What excites you most about the construction or renovation business? Seeing the end product.
Where do you see NDR in five years? I hope we continue to expand and grow the business in the luxury market, and we’ve talked about adding a custom home division.
What do you love about leading the company? I like knowing we’re helping our crew provide for their families, and I always enjoy seeing clients love our work.
What is the most challenging part of running NDR? The most challenging aspect is that every home and every project is different.
Is there anything you wish you would have known before starting NDR? A lot. (laughing) Growing pains are never fun. Attitude and ability to stay the course matters.
You have such a good sense of humor. Would you consider yourself an extrovert or an introvert? Definitely an introvert.
What did you aspire to be when you were a child? Believe it or not, a chiropractor.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? On a ranch close to the river and mountains.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working or being a busy dad and husband? I love to hunt, fish, and play golf.
