5 Big Picture Shifts that Could Directly Impact Disadvantaged Students in 2025

Partnership Provides Real-World Science Exposure

The National STEM Honor Society at Whittier Elementary School in Washington, DC, recently embarked on an exciting field trip to the Maryland Science Center, thanks to the generous support of Dow, Inc. and C-STEM. This hands-on experience allowed students to explore interactive exhibits, conduct STEM investigations, and deepen their understanding of science in action. Through this immersive learning opportunity, students strengthened their curiosity and critical thinking skills, reinforcing their passion for STEM fields. "Special thanks to C-STEM for championing STEM education and inspiring the next generation of innovators!" said Program Director Jonte Lee. The 2025 C-STEM Challenge Showcase will take place at Whittier Elementary School on April 10th. Stay tuned, more to come!

Bicycle Opens Possibilities for Fourth Student

At C-STEM, every child deserves the opportunity to dream big, explore new possibilities, and experience the joy of discovery. Last month, we shared how something as simple as a bicycle can open doors to new adventures. We were able to see this impact once again as we presented the final bicycles, bicycles and helmet generously provided by Cycle Houston to Chase Shields a 12 year old student at Lawson Academy.

Thank you Cycle Houston for your generosity, for fueling dreams, encoraging exploration, and inspiring brighter futures for for our most vulnerable students!
