May is all about water safety at Bulldog. From National Water Safety Month to Water Babies-1st Splash, weekday morning classes, and community events across Orange and New Haven, this month is all about helping swimmers build confidence in a way that feels safe, supportive, and fun.

Before summer arrives is the perfect time to build momentum in the water. Whether your family is just getting started, looking for more flexibility, or ready for the next step in your swim journey, May is a great time to keep progress moving.

Skill Spotlight: Water Babies-1st Splash

Water Babies-1st Splash is designed to teach the parent and child the basics of water comfort, safety and fun. These classes are designed to be a child's first exposure to being in the water in an interactive, calm and warm space. The instructor works on teaching the parents skills such as submersions, monkey walk and starfish floats. Any adult can take the child to Water Babies classes. Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles are often in these classes.

Weekday Morning Classes - Enrolling Now

We are excited to offer classes at our Orange location on Thursday mornings from 10am-12pm. Water Babies and Youth program classes are available for registration.

Gilroy's Fun Fact

Did you know bulldogs aren’t exactly known for being natural swimmers? Most bulldogs need to wear a lifejacket while in the water to help them float. That’s one reason Gilroy loves cheering on brave first splashes, floating practice, and all the little wins that help swimmers feel safe and confident in the water.
