HUSSY NEWS #69: Red, White & Boug, Baby Girl

Well hello there, my patriotic, popsicle-stained, flame-retardant Hussy.

Happy almost Fourth of July.

The one magical time of year when every neighborhood has at least one dad who spends enough money on fireworks to overthrow a small government.

We know who you are, Doug.

You’re missing a finger and three toes because of the Sparkler Incident of 2017.

You’re also the same guy who took out a second mortgage to buy that eighth reindeer for Santa’s Village.

Rudolph was enough for Santa.

Apparently not for you.

Happy birthday, ’Merica.

Two hundred and fifty years is a decent run, baby girl.

You’re still just a youngster compared to those dress-up countries that wear jewels and insist they’re still royalty.

Looking at you, Chuck.

Before anyone emails me, no. “Boug” isn’t a typo.

AI Glenda wasn’t invaded by a hot Russian bot named Vianka who handcuffed her spell check to a bedpost… although I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t rooting for Vianka.

Some freedoms are worth surrendering, baby girl.

Coming July 4, 2032…

Streaming exclusively on Red Dawn+ and Soviet Prime.

Rocky IV.0: Battle of the Bots

The Cold War is hotter than Heated Rivalry.

Finally, a remake that’s better than the original.

That’ll either make perfect sense or get me banished from at least three countries.

Hopefully one of them isn’t Russia…

Vianka promised she’d invade later.

Fourth of July Activities

Go on a road trip.

Call Stifler.

Or his mom.

Call one half of Franklin & Bash.

Call the skinny kid…

What was his name again?

Hell, even his mom doesn’t remember.

Borrow a bus.

If that doesn’t work…

Steal one.

We’ll either return it…

…or destroy it.

Try not to accidentally boink Amy Smart.

Or Vianka.

If gas is too expensive because of that damn second mortgage, Doug…

Just watch Road Trip.

It still holds up better than half the movies coming out today.

Easily Tom Green’s finest work.

Rudolph wasn’t a growth stock, Douglas.

Neighborhood Hot Dog Eating Contest

Sign up for your neighborhood hot dog eating contest.

Honestly…

Hot dog eating contests are the best way to meet the neighbors.

They eliminate awkward small talk.

It’s hard to ask,

“So… what do you do for work?”

…while you’re deep-throating your twelfth wet wiener as Metallica blares from the boombox.

Hot dogs are meant to be dipped in water and inhaled like a smoothie.

Remember…

Joey Chestnut is a professional.

You are Cheryl from accounting.

You’re not a professional…

…yet.

Get in there and practice.

Meanwhile…

Doug is ugly crying into a paper plate full of half-chewed Nathan’s because Cheryl from accounting just ended his dynasty.

You’ll be okay, Doug.

The HOA still needs someone to organize the block party.

And you’ll always have Rudolph, Dougie.

Quick Hussy Update

Birthday was great.

Thanks to everyone who reached out.

If you haven’t, I’m still accepting Temu gift cards.

The last couple of weeks have been a little quieter on stage.

Mostly because I’ve had enough medical appointments to fill a punch card at Cedars.

Do ten appointments get me a mimosa?

The good news is I’ve been working on new material and filling in my summer calendar.

Keep an eye on DeniseWinkelmanComedy.com because I’ll be adding more dates soon.

This Week’s Comedian to Watch

Sergio Novoa

I got to work with Sergio for the first time last weekend.

Super funny.

Super professional.

Super sweet.

Had a blast sharing the stage with him and hope we get to do it again soon.

Go give him a follow.

Support good people making good comedy.

@sergionovoa

🎤 UPCOMING HUSSY ACTIVITIES

I’m booking out the rest of my summer now.

Keep an eye on DeniseWinkelmanComedy.com for upcoming shows, tickets, and new dates.

Hope to see some of my Hussies out there.

Until next week…

Take the road trip.

Eat the extra hot dog.

Drink Smartwater…

…and vodka in honor of Vianka, comrade.

Oil up.

Wear sunscreen.

Don’t text your ex because fireworks made you feel nostalgic.

Unless that’s their kink too.

And if your neighbor says…

“Watch this…”

Leave.

That’s not patriotism.

That’s paperwork.

Happy Fourth, baby girls.

Your TL from the DL,

Denise Winkelman

Oooooout.
