Welcome Peter McGee

Blackfalds Chamber would like to extend a warm welcome to The Town of Blackfalds Economic Development Officer Peter McGee.

Peter started with the Town of Blackfalds in May of 2024.  Coming to Blackfalds with over 10 years experience in Small Business and Economic Development, a certificate in Economic Development from SAIT and University of Waterloo plus experience owning his own business, Peter is ready to put his skills and experiences to work for Blackfalds.  Growing up in Ontario, Peter moved to Central Alberta in 2012 where he met his wife and in 2019, they welcomed their daughter.  Peter is excited to work with the community and stakeholders to help see Blackfalds continue to thrive.  If you would like to book a meeting with Peter, you can reach him at pmcgee@blackfalds.ca.

Blackfalds Food Bank and Beyond Food Community Hub - Second Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Join your fellow local businesses and community groups in a canned food art competition at our October 5th Empty Bowls Fundraiser!

This competition and fundraiser are in support of programming that tackles food insecurity in our community.

•  Treat them like cash and give real cash back if the purchase is less than the buck amount.

•  Contact us for reimbursement of the bucks. We generally give cash for amounts less than $200 and a cheque if over that.
