🧠 Young Healthy Minds Forum – Primary School Program

On September 11th, Positive Vibes Foundation proudly launched our very first Primary School Program at Excelsior Primary School.

This program addresses important topics such as bullying, screen time, and social media, while also equipping participants with knowledge and strategies to support mental health. The activities are interactive and age-appropriate, encouraging participation and engagement.

More than 80 Year 12 students attended our first session, and the energy in the room was inspiring. Through engaging activities, enjoyable conversations, and age-appropriate mental health education, we helped children understand that taking care of their minds is just as important as taking care of their bodies.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Excelsior Primary School for their commitment to supporting this initiative. This program is just the beginning—we hope to bring it to many more schools across the region in the upcoming months.

šŸ‘©ā€šŸ”§ The Hills Women’s Shed

Our Women’s Shed continues to grow as a welcoming space where women can connect, share, and recharge. The August Wellness Talk was not only well-attended but also filled with thoughtful conversations, uplifting energy, and positive feedback from participants who left feeling inspired and supported.

Due to popular demand, we’re now open on Tuesdays, which means the program now runs on two days. This expansion underscores the importance of providing safe and supportive spaces for women in our community.

Looking ahead, our September event will be special: an Aboriginal Art Workshop celebrating culture, creativity, and connection, followed by a Movie + Popcorn Night where we can unwind, laugh, and enjoy time together. If you’ve been meaning to come along, this is the perfect opportunity. Sign up for the new day and be part of the joy that the Women’s Shed brings each week.

šŸŽ‰ 11th Anniversary Gala Dinner

Our annual Gala Dinner is just around the corner, and this year promises to be our biggest and most exciting yet! On October 11th, we’ll gather for a night filled with entertainment, community, and a shared commitment to supporting mental health.

We are thrilled to announce that our special guest for the evening is Xavier Crow, a world-class mentalist who will astonish us with mind-bending performances and bring plenty of laughter and joy to the room. With over 150 tickets already sold, it’s clear the community is as excited as we are.

Although early bird tickets have sold out, regular tickets are still available—they’re selling quickly. This event is not only a fantastic night out but also a major fundraiser for our programs. By attending, you’re helping us continue the vital work of spreading mental health awareness and support throughout the community.

šŸƒā€ā™€ļø Run for The Hills

We’re proud to support the Run For The Hills event alongside our friends at Castle Hill Rotary Club. Exercise, especially running, has been proven to reduce stress, boost mood, and support overall mental well-being—making this event the perfect way to promote both physical and mental health.

This local event isn’t just about fitness; it’s about community, resilience, and shared purpose. Positive Vibes Foundation is delighted to support this initiative.

🐾 Paw Visits

With 19 wonderful volunteers and their furry companions, we bring joy, companionship, and comfort to residents in aged care. There’s something magical about the way a wagging tail or a gentle purr can brighten someone's day, reduce loneliness, and spark smiles all around.

The feedback from aged care facilities has been overwhelmingly positive. Residents often tell us that the visits are the highlight of their week, and staff have noticed the positive impact on their mental well-being. The bond between humans and animals is powerful, and we are so proud to see this program flourish.

We are currently looking to expand our reach and bring paw visits to more aged care facilities. If you know of a centre that would benefit from these joyful sessions, we’d love to hear from you. Please email us at info@positivevibes.org.au to introduce us—we’d be very grateful.

šŸ›ļø The Hills UPmarket

Each month, Positive Vibes Foundation is present at the local UPmarket, and it’s always a highlight to meet members of the community face-to-face. These markets provide an excellent opportunity for us to connect, answer questions, and promote our programs and events.

We are constantly humbled by the local support we receive at these gatherings—from people who stop by to say hello to those who engage with us about our initiatives.
