MetaBlock® Fire-Rated Expansion Joint Assemblies address a long-standing gap in rated construction for buildings that rely on wood framing, such as a podium base with wood-framed upper levels.

MetaBlock® Wood-Frame Product Types

Metablock® 1-Hour - A UL-listed, 1-hour fire-rated barrier for linear expansion and seismic joints in floor assemblies. Tested to UL 2079 and ASTM E1966, this configuration meets the required performance and movement in wood-frame floor L500 Series conditions.

Metablock® 1, and 2-Hour - A UL-listed, 2-hour fire-rated barrier for linear expansion and seismic joints in wall assemblies. Tested per UL 2079 and ASTM E1966, this system supports rated performance and movement in wood-frame wall conditions.

Metablock® 3, and 4-Hour - A UL-listed, 3 and 4-hour fire-rated barrier for linear expansion and seismic joints in wall assemblies. Tested per UL 2079 and ASTM E1966, this system supports rated performance and movement in wood-frame wall conditions.
