You see, your lower, animal brain is instinctive, hyper-reactive, mean and even cruel in its efforts to preserve survival and safety. When you disconnect from others and get defensive or argue, you're in the lower brain. When the lower brain's in charge, you can't experience caring, connection, cooperation or meaning.
In contrast, your higher, human brain is curious, creative, imaginative, empathetic, and able to appreciate beauty and wonder. It's where love is born and works in the world, and where you feel good and experience joy, connection, meaning and peace.
