Dear ZAA Members,
I am happy to report that we had an exceptionally successful meeting in Issaquah, WA Feb 11-14th, 2025! We had over 60 participants enjoy 12 workshops and various meetings. Please refer to the March 2025 edition of our ZAA Magazine (coming soon!) for more details of the event. Thank you to all who participated and especially to our workshop presenters and our host, Cougar Mountain Zoo.
The distribution of this memo was delayed due to me traveling at the end of Feb for our first 2025 DC Fly-in. Thank you to Tom Albert for setting up an amazing line-up of meetings, and to Tiffany Soechting with Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch, Charlie Sammut with Monterey Zoo, Matt Fouts with Tanganyika Wildlife Park, and Eric Trager with Animal World and Snake Farm Zoo, who all traveled and attended the meetings with us. We had an amazing experience meeting with many of our legislators and representatives, committees, and with USDA APHIS leadership. Again, please refer to the March magazine edition for more details.
We are now in the process of organizing our annual conference, which will be held Oct 1-4th, 2025, in lovely San Antonio, TX. Please hold these dates on your calendar because you will not want to miss this exciting event!
