THE BENEFITS OF BEING SELF-EMPLOYED

Although there are many risks to being self-employed, it also comes with many benefits. We’re sure that you have already considered the risks – unstable income, lack of benefits, etc., but we want to reveal the extensive benefits that are available to help you self-identify if you are the right kind of person to pursue self-employment.

To all of the teachers along my educational journey, it is with pride that I have completed this book. I am certain you would all agree that I was in the 10 percent of the class that made the top 90 percent possible. I did not graduate High School. I did not complete college or a professional accounting designation. School was my worst subject.

In light of the fore mentioned, I truly believe all my teachers had the best of intentions because I know now that none of them were in for the pay. I never had a teacher that told me I could never make it or that I would never amount to anything. In retrospect I guess it is a good thing as they would now be eating
their words. They all persisted in pushing me which in hindsight was their job. Indirectly this book is also a result of your collective guidance, support and input along the way. School was not a total waste of time. I am still not certain why they had us dissect frogs in high school but that knowledge comes in real handy balancing your check book and filing taxes.

Mrs. Fitzpatrick in kindergarten and Mr. McGinn in grade six are my two favourites. I contacted Mr.McGinn long distance in 2007 and told him that I remember him as resembling Johnny Carson. He replied yes he has been told that often but that he then looked like a much older version. I had not seen or heard from him in 30 years as of 2007.

To all of my mentors, associates and colleagues along my journeys, you have all given me something to grow with. It was all positive, negative or neutral. In any case it has all given me the motivation, knowledge, stories, content, wisdom, inspiration etc. to fill this bible and future ones with some exciting stories and of course let’s not forget the tax saving strategies.
