We often talk about the perils of comparison-itis, especially on social media. If you missed it, check out Vaneese's inspirational message in our last Trend Tuesday Live related to how comparison gets in the way of taking BOLD action.

There's A LOT of hype right now about ChatGPT. But don't take your eye off the ball.

What makes a good resume hasn't changed. If it helps you get to the goal -- a strategic, targeted document with your clients' stories proving their qualifications -- use it.

What makes a good cover letter hasn't changed. If it helps you write a letter -- specifically connecting your client to the job and the company -- use it.

What makes an engaging social media or blog post hasn't changed. It can help you develop ideas related to your audience's interests and get started -- use it! But add your own voice and story, or it won't connect. (And mark April 19 on your calendar for more in-depth instruction on using AI to fuel your marketing.)

Who attends the Career Thought Leaders Professional Development Symposium?

No, you don't need to be a member! Career services providers from across the globe are invited. Career and leadership coaches, career services staff, professional resume writers, personal branding strategists, military transition staff, and like-minded professionals who guide others in advancing their careers are all invited.

Can I earn Continuing Education hours (CCEs / CEUs)?

Yes, you can track your attendance at sessions throughout the Symposium and use the session descriptions and the attendance form to demonstrate hours toward your credentials. 

These hours are focused on career development and may count for up to 16 Continuing Education contact hours, depending on the topics you choose (business development hours typically do not count toward coaching or career services credentials).

These may count toward credentials with the National Career Development Association, the National Resume Writers' Association, Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE; for the BCC or GCDF), or other organizations. They would be "resource development" hours for the International Coach Federation (ICF).


Will it be recorded or simulcasted? Not this event... 

While we do extensive virtual training throughout the year (for 15+ years running), we also know the power of focus that comes with attending a live, in-person event.
