What an incredible few weeks it has been at PCDA!

I couldn't be prouder of the way our students represented our studio this month. What stood out most was the encouragement they showed one another - cheering from the sidelines, pep talks, and writing heartfelt letters of support.

Moments like these remind me that our greatest achievements are the culture and community we've built together 🩷

The dedication and work ethic shown in the lead-up to competitions was nothing short of inspiring. Congratulations to every student for your commitment, courage and achievements...we are so proud of you all!

A huge welcome to the many new families who joined us during Open Week! We've loved seeing so many new faces around the studio and can't wait for you to experience the PCDA difference.

I'm also incredibly excited to officially launch the EmpowerED Collective this month. This new initiative is all about empowering and educating both our students and families, and I can't wait for you to read more about it below.

🎉 INTRODUCING.... 🎉

The PCDA EmpowerED Collective!

We're so excited to launch the PCDA EmpowerED Collective - our brand new monthly learning initiative designed to inspire, educate and empower our entire studio community.

A play on our commitment to both empowering and educating, the EmpowerED Collective will explore a new theme & topic each month through engaging workshops, educational articles, social media, and real-world experiences that extend far beyond the studio walls.

Our goal is to help students and parents grow together, not only through dance, aerial and performance, but as confident, resilient people equipped with valuable life skills.

Each month will provide practical tools, fresh perspectives and meaningful opportunities to put our learning into action, creating a shared journey that the whole family can be part of.

August Theme: Confidence

We're kicking off the EmpowerED Collective with one of the most important qualities any performer - and person - can develop: Confidence.

Confidence isn't about being perfect. It's about believing in yourself, embracing challenges, celebrating progress, and having the courage to step outside your comfort zone and into the spotlight. Have a read below to find out all above the incredible events we have on this month!

This is just the beginning. Every month will introduce a brand-new focus, along with exciting opportunities, practical learning and inspiring experiences that strengthen our students, support our families, and continue building the incredible PCDA community we're so proud of.

🌟 IN THE SPOTLIGHT🌟

Looking back on the success of last month!

Congratulations to our incredible Competition Stream students, who competed throughout July at both Starlight Festival of Dance and Bend the Air with some incredible results!

A HUGE congratulations to the following students who qualified for Bend the Air NATIONALS in January 2027 on the Sunshine Coast:- Lily Edwards, Hana Gouteff, Harper Howie, Skye Pinkerton and Elizabeth Wall. WELL DONE to you all! ✨

But, the thing we’re most proud of can’t be measured by medals or trophies. 💖
Watching our students cheer each other on from side stage, celebrate every performance, and genuinely support one another has been so special. Seeing dancers come along on days they weren’t even competing, simply to support their teammates, is what being part of the PCDA family is all about!

What has made us even prouder is the way you’ve represented our studio beyond our own team. Whether it was congratulating dancers from other studios, applauding great performances, or showing kindness and respect to everyone around you, you embodied exactly what PCDA stands for.

Results will always come and go, but the character you showed over these past two weeks is something that lasts far longer.

To every dancer, family and teacher who played a part in creating such a positive and encouraging environment, thank you. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you 💞🫶✨

🎭 CENTRE STAGE 🎭

To bring this month's EmpowerED theme to life, we're thrilled to offer two exciting opportunities for all of our students!

On Sat 15th August, students can learn from Miss Galaxy Australia 1st Runner Up,

Nikia Rockley,

in an inspiring confidence workshop packed with practical strategies to help you shine both on and off the stage.

On Sat & Sun the 29th and 30th August,

students can celebrate that confidence with a professional photoshoot experience thanks to KDarius Photography, capturing not only beautiful images, but the confidence and growth they've built throughout the month.

Both the workshop and photoshoot slots are expected to reach capacity quickly, so register below to secure your spot!

August also sees our talented competition team competing in not one, but TWO competitions:
