This month, we recognize Sandra Crespo and Javier Espinel, founders of CBM Creating Business, entrepreneurs with more than 15 years of experience organizing events, expos, and business fairs. Since arriving in Florida, they have focused on creating opportunities that connect entrepreneurs, industries, and communities. Their work reflects a strong commitment to building platforms where small businesses can grow, collaborate, and gain visibility within the Latino business ecosystem.

One of their major milestones was the launch of ExpoMEC Autoparts, a specialized automotive industry expo that successfully debuted in Orlando and continues expanding in Florida. They are also the organizers of Tampa Food Fest, a cultural and business festival that brings together entrepreneurs, food vendors, and the community. Through these initiatives, they continue creating spaces that celebrate culture while opening doors for economic growth and new business connections.

TAMPA FOOD FEST

Enterprising Latinas Inc. was proud to participate as an official sponsor of the Tampa Food Fest, held on Saturday, March 21st at the Carrollwood Cultural Center. This vibrant community event celebrated Latin culture, food, and entrepreneurship across Tampa Bay.

During the festival, Enterprising Latinas had a strong presence, bringing six of our entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses and connect with the community. We are proud to highlight their participation:

⚠️ Final Reminder — Annual Report Deadline is May 1

If you own a business in Florida, this is the last month to file your Annual Report with the Florida Department of State. Filing on time keeps your business active and helps you avoid penalties.

Be cautious of third-party emails charging high fees — you can file directly on the official state website.

⏳ Missing the May 1 deadline may result in a $400 late penalty plus additional fees.

💰 Sales Tax Update

Businesses registered to collect sales tax should review the new payment process from the Florida Department of Revenue.

To avoid errors or delays, we recommend reviewing the updated videos and resources that explain how to submit your sales tax payments correctly under the new process.
