Foodstock tiedottaa: Arvonlisävero muuttuu 1.9.2024 alkaen
Eduskunta hyväksyi lain 28.6.2024 koskien yleisen arvonlisäverokannan nostamista nykyisestä 24 %:sta 25,5 %:iin. Alv-nousu tulee voimaan 1.9.2024.
Syyskuun alussa tapahtuva korotus ei koske tuotteita, joihin sovellettava arvonlisäverokanta on 10 % tai 14 %. Tällaisia tuotteita ovat esimerkiksi elintarvikkeet.
Tavaran toimitusajankohta määrittää, peritäänkö arvonlisäveroa 24 prosenttia vai 25,5 prosenttia. Jos tavaran myynnistä on saatu ennakkomaksu ennen yleisen arvonlisäverokannan korotusta (1.9.24), ennakkomaksuun sovellettava verokanta on 24 prosenttia.
Value added tax will change on 1 September 2024
On 28 June 2024, the Finnish Parliament passed a bill on increasing the general VAT rate from the current 24% to 25.5%. The VAT increase will enter into force on 1 September 2024.
The increase at the beginning of September does not apply to products for which the applicable VAT rate is 10% or 14%. Such products include, for example, foodstuffs.
The time of delivery of the goods determines whether the charged VAT is 24% or 25.5%. If an advance payment has been received for the sale of goods before the increase in the general VAT rate (1 Sept. 2024), the tax rate applicable to the advance payment is 24 per cent.
