Howdy from
Full Circle Riding Academy!

Mission Statement: We guide you from novice horse enthusiast to competitive equestrian, and ultimately to mentor and leader, creating a full-circle journey that fosters a dynamic horse-first mentality while building a positive and supportive equestrian community.

Dear FCRA Community,

We hope you have enjoyed the recent upgrades at the barn that our staff have so diligently been working on for us.

Our horses are enjoying cleaner water troughs, less dusty stalls, turnout in much cleaner runs, and the highest quality feed and supplements.

We are in the process of saddle fitting each horse to ensure the equipment we use doesn't create soreness. Your students are being trained as well on selecting the correct saddle, double checking the fit of the girth and bridle, and tightening the girths in kind and comfortable ways.

Some additional exciting upgrades is to our staff! Dana and Amy have been hired and trained as instructors to take FCRA to the next level. Their many years of experience and specialties in the equine community will add to our all-around horsemanship lesson program. We are so lucky to have them on our team! Please give them a warm welcome when you see them!

Always,
Stephanie & Cheyanne

December Lesson Objectives

As requested, we will be using these newsletters to share some additional information about the curriculum behind our lesson program.

December's Theme is:
Ground Poles and Circles

Rainbow level lessons will include the 3 rules of going over ground poles:
1-go over in a straight line
2-go over the center
3-look up past the pole

Red level lessons will be focusing on creating a large circle at a walk and a trot. Lessons will build from circles with ground poles to circles with no objects a students become more and more independent.

Not sure what "level" your student is? Have them ask their Instructor!

Level objectives drive the lesson planning that our Instructors put together each month. Extensive discussion on the strengths and opportunities our students have leads to a series of lessons that build on one another to achieve masters of objectives each month.
