Empowering Safely: Safe Digital Advocacy for Girls and Young Women!

Gracious Lekgoathi, an AfNHi youth cohort member and HER Voice Fund Ambassador for South Africa used her digital advocacy skills to create an impact at the Women Deliver Conference 2023. As a panelist on the topic of “Online Community Building,” she emphasized the importance of educating and investing in mental health support for girls and young women in the digital space. Gracious stressed the need for both digital and traditional advocacy to create safe and inclusive online spaces.

WHA76: UHC2030 and CSEM Networking Space

Alongside the seventy-sixth World Health Assembly week, UHC2030 and CSEM co-hosted a Networking Space from Monday 22 May to Thursday 25 May. The aim was to provide a space for UHC advocates and partners interested in UHC to network, learn from each other, and plan activities ahead of the September UN High-level meetings. 

Partners could drop in to exchange informally around a coffee, listen to key notes around the Action Agenda from the UHC movement, and watch the livestream of WHA roundtables which were taking place just steps away at the Palais des Nations. The space was also available to be booked by our partners to organize their own in-person meeting.
