Hello sunshine,

Mhm, YOU, a ray of light and sunshine in our rad lives this Spring.

According to Chat GPT, which I hope you are using wisely based on its environmental footprint, “Spring is one of the four seasons, typically following winter and preceding summer.” Right after a winter season full of detrimental policy decisions and before a hot summer with its awry consequences, here’s an invitation for you to bloom this quarter and amplify our community power this societal Spring.

How? Let’s get right to it:

  1. 🌴 Prioritize nature and give it some extra love on Earth Day (April 22nd), Climate Week Miami, or at any of the dozens of local events we’ll be sharing on our Instagram profile

  2. 🤝 Connect across lines of difference from May 1st to May 10th during this year’s 10 Days of Connection! Bring your true colors and show up with a bouquet of friends and family who need to listen, be heard, and weave communities.

  3. 👩‍💻 Cheer on 11 local heroes who are making Miami’s tech ecosystem more inclusive for women, trans, and nonbinary humans, yes, humans, and the ventures they’re growing.

Remember when we’d dream of stepping out to convene 5 years ago, but we couldn’t go out? Nothing is stopping us now, so see you out there ;).

Huge thanks to The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade for powering the evening and to everyone who showed up to celebrate growth through the mess.

Build Coalitions With Us & These Networks

Be Part of Building These Coalitions for Change:

Place-Based Intermediaries

CORE has made significant strides in supporting grassroots organizations! RP's Joan Godoy and Saejin Yoo contributed a thought-provoking blog article that examines how place-based intermediaries strengthen local organizations through critical funding, capacity building, and community-rooted support. Their deep local knowledge is crucial in bridging the gap between funders and frontline changemakers. To explore this impactful work further, read the full article here.

Arts Access Miami

Arts Access brought joy and inspiration through the Art Access Music Festivals in Miami Gardens and South Dade. RP's Toia attended the events and was moved by the incredible talent on display. Students from across the county came together to share their passion for music with the community—reminding us of the powerful role the arts play in connecting and uplifting us all. Moments like these reinforce why access to the arts matters.

The Carrie Meek Foundation

We slowly approach the closing of our collaboration with The Carrie Meek Foundation in deepening a coalition strategy among 50 grantees Supporting Safer Communities. A series of four workshops brought community partners together to align on recognizing each others’ unique value proposition and to develop collaboration methods. This summer, we’ll celebrate progress and plan what’s next!

Want to build coalitions that last where partners have clarity of their position in driving change with you? Let’s talk about what’s possible when community leads the way.
