Hi there,

I’m writing this piece as I hum the song that goes, “There was nothing in the world making me smile…” because it feels like summer (#globalwarmingisreal), and most of us changemakers are standing on the edge. True to our mission, we spend our time and energy investing in leaders, engaging locals, co-creating solutions, and building coalitions. We see and feel your exhaustion AND your excitement as we tackle problems that are bigger than us.

You know this: complex problems demand complex solutions. We just hit a milestone that we’d like to share with you all to get you thinking ;). Radical Partners is now one of the 20+ B Corps in Miami, which means we’ve been internationally recognized as a business for good! Wooo. A business? Yes. One that offers coaching and consulting services to strengthen communities. Weren’t we a “nonprofit”? That too, and we count on your donations on Give Miami Day to keep innovating and accelerating impact.

Are these hybrid models the future of the social impact sector? Too soon to tell, but we should all definitely be curious as we watch the trends and get creative as we carry our missions forward; below you can find some inspiration and tools to do just that. Then remember or sing with me: “You live for the long nights, live for the good times, and I [we] will meet you there.”

Meet Our Newest Rad Team Members!

We asked them: "What are you most excited about after joining Radical Partners?"

Sada O. (She/her), Executive Administrative Assistant

"I'm excited to be part of a collaborative team that aims for excellence in everything we do! I love being part of Radical Partners because we are dedicated to empowering leaders and fostering collaboration across diverse communities. The team's commitment to addressing critical local issues and co-creating innovative solutions inspires me daily."

Victoria "Toia" Santamarina (She/her), Director of Coalitions

"As part of a team committed to equity, I love that we strive towards that goal in every intervention we work on. Addressing rooted gendered barriers is work we must do in coalitions. I look forward to creating more connections for diverse women, trans, and nonbinary talent in Miami and the region."

The Radical Partners team recently came together for our biggest mid-year retreat yet, with 11 team members! Despite being spread across the globe (from Miami, Georgia, New York, Guatemala, Venezuela, and Costa Rica), we intentionally set aside time to reconnect, realign our goals, strengthen our processes, and empower our leadership to have a successful second half of the year accelerating impact. This well-rounded retreat was a celebration of how we are all encouraged to and get to bring our whole selves to the impactful work that we do.

For the second half of the year, we're particularly gearing up for our upcoming capacity and community building offerings we have for organizations participating in Give Miami Day. Oh! And did we mention we're also participating and raising funds? If you’re interested in tapping into our efforts or supporting us directly through donations, then stay tuned for details and follow us on social media!

In the meantime, you can catch all of our smiling faces all around South Florida and beyond investing in leaders, engaging locals, co-creating solutions, and building coalitions. Make sure to say hello. ;)
