A Word From Our Founder:
Dear Mom,
I know you hate to be in the spotlight but here you are. I pulled you from my memories 18 years ago and with the help of family, friends and supporters you’ve become a beacon of hope for so many.
In your name, Annie’s Angels has raised 6.5 million dollars, and we’ve filled nearly 10,000 requests for assistance. We’ve been able to buy fifteen wheelchair vans and other equipment that insurance wouldn’t pay for. We know what that’s like right! In your name mom, Annie’s Angels has paid utility bills, groceries, doctors’ co-pays, car repairs, and so much more. Annie’s Helping Hands has helped hundreds of men and women with various cancers get free massage, reiki, acupuncture. Imagine if this program was available to you. Arts for Angels has provided more than 1,000 art projects for seniors in assisted living and day out programs, while Drumming for Parkinson’s and Eldercare provides free drumming classes. Angel Pets provides free companion animals to current and former military, nearly 700 so far.
Mom, I know you hate to be in the spotlight but now, you ARE the light, that beacon of hope in the center of this community. You are a beacon that so many have told me they can’t live without. Thank you for looking out for us. We miss you every day.
I want to wish you a happy 100th birthday in heaven and a happy 18th anniversary to your namesake Annie’s Angels and happy Mother’s Day. We miss you every day.
Love Always,
Bill
