Spring Is Nearly Upon Us… So Let’s Talk About Germs
Spring is almost here. Soon the sun will be out, the windows open… and yes, the germs are still here too.
We have a fun saying in our office: “Eat Germs!”
It usually gets a laugh, but there’s truth behind it.
The reality is, we are exposed to germs every single day. On doorknobs. At the grocery store. At the playground. In the air. We’re almost always “eating germs” whether we realize it or not. So if germs are everywhere… why aren’t we constantly sick?
Because of our immune system.
What Really Causes Sickness?
Is it the germs?
Or is it a decreased immune response?
Since exposure to germs isn’t new (and isn’t avoidable), the real question becomes:
Is your body prepared to handle them?
When your immune system is functioning well, your body can recognize, respond to, and clear out invaders efficiently. But if your immune system is overwhelmed, stressed, or not functioning optimally, those same everyday germs suddenly become harder to fight off.
So instead of focusing only on “killing germs,” what if we focused on supporting the immune system?
We don’t live in a sterile bubble. Our goal isn’t fear. It’s resilience.
Our Favorite Spring Essential Oils 🌸
We love simple, natural tools that support the body — especially during seasonal transitions.
Here are a few of our spring favorites:
Eucalyptus Oil – Known for supporting respiratory health and helping ease coughs.
Peppermint Oil – Helps relax the muscles of the windpipe and supports easier breathing.
Frankincense Oil – Supports a healthy inflammatory response (great during seasonal flare-ups).
Oregano Oil – A powerful natural antimicrobial.
Lavender Oil – Calming and supportive for overall immune and nervous system balance.
Lemon Oil – Fresh, cleansing, and uplifting.
(As always, proper dilution and safety matter, especially for pregnant mamas and little ones. If you have questions about safe use, we’re happy to guide you!)
This spring, instead of panicking about every sniffle or germ, let’s focus on building strong, adaptable bodies.
Open the windows. Get outside. Support your nervous system. Nourish your immune system.
And maybe… eat a few germs along the way 😉
