Here are a few tips to help prevent any injuries as you get your house and yard warm weather ready!

  1. If you’re going to lift, make sure you use your legs!

  2. Avoid staying in one position for a prolonged period of time.

  3. If it’s too heavy, ask for help!

  4. Don’t try to do everything in one day.

These simple tips will help you remain injury free and will help you avoid a trip to your physical therapist.

Christina

"I couldn't throw without sharp pain going through my shoulder immediately. I started coming to LSTC and worked mostly with Alyssa and Lindsey, and they each helped me regain strength in my arm with smiles on their faces, bright and early. I'm now able to throw with a lot less pain!"

Quan

"My experience here was great with friendly physical therapists. My back & knee have improved significantly, the back pain is almost gone & the knee pain is much less! The swollenness in my knee is completely gone. I am very happy with the results and so grateful for the dedication and professional skill of the staff here."

Kendall

"Started with shin splints giving me difficulty walking and running (most exercising). I am now able to return to strength training, walking long distances, and running with no pain! I've learned warmups and exercises to keep my legs strong for running!"

Treatment Spotlight

What is Dry Needling?

Dry Needling is a procedure that involves the use of acupuncture or acupuncture-like needles inserted into muscular tissue with the goal of restoring muscle to its resting length and tone.

Due to the direct nature of the technique, it also releases pain producing chemicals back into circulation, as opposed to allowing them to sit in the tissue where they generate pain. It is called dry needling because the therapeutic effect results from the presence of a needle, as opposed to therapeutic effect resulting from use of a medication on the needle during the procedure.
