⛳ Golf Tip: Repair Your Ball Marks the Right Way
A properly repaired ball mark helps keep our greens smooth, healthy, and enjoyable for everyone.
The USGA recommends inserting your repair tool just behind the ball mark and gently pushing the turf toward the center.
Work your way around the mark, bringing the turf back together, then lightly tap the area down with your putter.
Avoid lifting or twisting the turf upward — this can damage the roots and actually slow the healing process.
Avondale Tip: Repair your ball mark plus one more while you're on the green. A few extra seconds from every golfer can make a big difference in the quality of our putting surfaces.
We ask you to please take care of the course, and leave it better than you found it.
