Members!
Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in our recent Food & Beverage Survey! We were thrilled by the level of engagement and truly appreciate the thoughtful feedback, ideas, and suggestions shared by our members.
As we reviewed the responses, several common themes emerged. Some of these are already being addressed, while others present an opportunity for us to better communicate our vision and offerings.
At Avondale Bar & Grill, our goal is to provide a welcoming, fun, and relaxing gastro pub experience where members can gather, unwind, and enjoy great food and service. While we understand that some members would enjoy a more formal fine dining experience, that style of service does not align with our current concept or clubhouse atmosphere. Throughout the year, however, we host special dining events that elevate the experience and offer a more refined experience. On a day-to-day basis, we remain committed to delivering a high-quality gastro pub experience that complements the club style.
As a reminder, all members receive a 15% discount on all regular menu prices.
Survey Highlights
We received 88 total responses, providing insight into member preferences and experiences.
48.9% of respondents indicated that their primary reason for visiting the Bar & Grill is before or after a round of golf.

What are we in the process of doing to address survey results?
Food Quality and Consistency
Our food and beverage team is committed to ensuring that food quality remains consistent at all times. We address any issues immediately during daily operations. One specific concern raised was the size of the chicken portions. We have sourced a new standardized 8‑ounce chicken breast that will be used across all menu items once our current inventory is depleted.
Healthy and Dietary‑Specific Options
Requests for healthier menu items were among the most common responses. While we corrected this early this spring with the new section on our menu called Fairway Fuel, we would like to further highlight the options currently available:
• Five fresh salad selections
• Four varieties of fish
• Chicken or steak add‑ons
• All non‑fried entrées
• Fairway Fuel (our designated healthy‑choice section)
• Gluten‑free options
• Vegetarian options
• Lettuce‑wrap alternatives
If you need assistance locating these items or would like help selecting dishes that align with your dietary preferences, please feel free to speak with any server or with management staff directly. We are always happy to support your needs.
Upcoming Menu Changes
We have been working hard on evaluating our current menu and items that are not as popular as others. A revised menu will be launched relatively soon including the following changes.
We will be replacing the fried pickles, mac and cheese, alfredo pasta, tuscan chicken, moving from a steak taco to a carne asada taco, adding the carne asada baked potato, adding a turkey huckleberry sandwich, adding a BLT, and bringing back the popular sandtrap dessert.
These changes are in line removing the least popular items as well as feedback from the comment section regarding what members would like to see on the menu!
Grab‑and‑Go Enhancements
Grab and go comments were common in the survey results. We are in the process of developing an expanded grab‑and‑go program, which will include items such as chicken salad cups, croissant sandwiches, and additional cold selections available in the beverage cooler (weather permitting). More offerings will be introduced as this program evolves.
Rotating Specials
While we understand the desire for weekly new menu items, weekly specials can be challenging due to inventory management and the need to minimize waste. However, we currently offer:
• A weekly Taco Tuesday special
• A rotating Mystery Meal
• Prime Rib Fridays
Please feel free to ask your server about the latest offerings during your next visit.
We remain fully committed to providing the highest‑quality dining experience for all members. Thank you again for your time and your feedback!
We look forward to the Food and Beverage Membership Focus group to be hosted on August 1st giving you an even further opportunity to share feedback!
Sincerely,
Megan Schwenk and James Seidler
