Information We Collect
Product analytics
The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to record low-frequency milestones such as onboarding steps, which features are opened, whether a key mapping started, error conditions (for example, touch injection failures together with your device brand and Android version), and the outcome of the purchase flow. This tells us where users get stuck. Firebase assigns a random app instance identifier and derives your approximate country from your IP address; the IP address itself is not stored by us.
Apps you add to the App
When you add an app to your list inside the App, or when a key mapping actually runs on that app, we record that app's package name (for example com.example.game) and the category reported by Google Play. We use this to decide which games receive ready-made key layouts first.
We record this only for apps you add yourself, and only for apps installed from Google Play, at most once per app per device. We do not collect a list of the other apps installed on your device. We do not record when or for how long you use those apps. You can turn this off at any time under Settings → Help improve game support.
Purchases
The optional one-time Pro purchase is processed by Google Play. We receive the purchase status needed to unlock Pro features. We never receive your payment card details.
Advertising
The free version of the App shows ads provided by AppLovin (AppLovin MAX) and Google (Google Mobile Ads, through AppLovin mediation). These partners' software development kits run inside the App and may automatically collect and receive information such as your advertising ID and other device identifiers, IP address and approximate location, device and network information, app interaction data, diagnostics, and personal information such as a phone number. They use this information to deliver, measure and limit the frequency of ads and to prevent fraud, under their own privacy policies listed below.
Where required by law (for example in the EEA, the UK and certain US states), the App tells AppLovin not to use your data for personalized advertising and not to sell it.
Push notifications
The App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver notifications. This uses a device token generated by Firebase.
Feedback email
If you choose to send feedback from the App, your email app opens with a pre-filled message containing technical details (App version, device model, Android version, language and diagnostic results). Nothing is sent unless you send the email yourself. We use it only to answer you.
What the App Does Not Collect
- Button presses and touches. While a mapping is active the App processes controller and key events on your device to perform your mappings. They are discarded when the press ends and are never uploaded.
- Accessibility service. The App uses the Android Accessibility Service API only to perform the touches you configure and to detect which app is in the foreground. It does not read, store or upload the text or content shown on your screen.
- Input method. The App's input method exists only to receive controller input. It does not record or upload what you type.
- We do not access your contacts, SMS, call logs, photos, microphone or precise location, and the App itself does not read your phone number.
How We Use Information
- To provide the App's features, including Pro features you purchased;
- To understand how the App is used, fix bugs and improve stability;
- To decide which games to support first;
- To show ads in the free version;
- To prevent fraud and abuse and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing
- Service providers that process data on our behalf: Google Firebase (Analytics, Remote Config, Cloud Messaging) and Google Play (billing and in-app review).
- Advertising partners: AppLovin and Google, as described above.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
- Business transfers: if the App is sold or merged, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Third-party privacy policies
- Google Analytics for Firebase: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- AppLovin: applovin.com/privacy
- Google advertising: policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Google Play: policies.google.com/privacy
Your Choices
- Turn off reporting of the apps you add under Settings → Help improve game support.
- Reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device's Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Google → Ads, depending on the device).
- Uninstalling the App stops all further collection.
Retention
Analytics event data is kept for up to 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically. Aggregated statistics that cannot identify you may be kept longer. Advertising partners retain data according to their own policies.
Deleting Your Data
Because the App has no accounts, the data we hold is linked only to random identifiers. You can ask us to delete it by emailing us at the address below; we will respond within 30 days. Please note we may keep information we are legally required to keep.
Security
All data the App sends is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use commercially reasonable measures to protect it.
International Transfers
Our service providers and advertising partners may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, they rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will change. Significant changes will also be announced in the App.
