How Do Beginners Sell On

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Strong collection of short playsBy Z. JensenI was given this book in my intro to creative writing class (where you practice poetry, narrative, and theater) to get an idea of what some contemporary plays are looking like these days. It claims to be the best of the year, and while I lean more towards the narrative side of creative writing, the plays in this book are actually really enjoyable. They come from large and small theaters by up and coming and established playwrights.Aside from a case study on how to write plays, this book is also really good for theater class work. As the title states all the plays are ten minutes or so, a good length for a beginner to practice and they are for a number of 1-4 actors. So small groups can work on them.Over all this is a good collection for multiple uses that I would recommend to theater students and creative students as well.
