A SmartThought Review of The Nonprofit Buyers GuideBy Chad StewartAs the founder of a software advisement and consulting firm dedicated to the nonprofit sector, it was a pleasant surprise to find a a comprehensive book like this available to a nonprofit buyer. The concepts put forth in the book are terrific and put clarity and structure behind a more often than not failed approach to procuring software today. There are so many sources of information today and the noise can be hard to filter through in order to determine what is credible and not. That said, the concept of focusing on your "return on mission" and buying based on need resonated with me because I see so many organizations which don't do take that approach. If you are a nonprofit executive (actually any organization for that matter), who is embarking on their software selection journey, I suggest taking time to ready so that you may be better prepared to approach the process of procuring the best fit. This guide will help in your effort and clarify how to best move through the buying process with the proper expectations and valuable insights to help avoid some common pitfalls.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. HertzlerThis is a guide which outlines a simple approach for non-profits buying large dollar software packages, and it explains what happens on the sales rep side of that process. If you are a non-proft buyer and have not made large scale buying decisions before, the cost of this book is well worth the benefit you'll gain from it.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
